Below is more information on our adoptable animals. You can also view these animals and more on petfinder.com. For those of you who wish to help, but can't adopt a pet right now, you can now send some support our way by using the Petco e-gift certificate program. Petfinder and Metro AAAA visitors can go to http://petfinder.com/awo/e-gift.cgi, choose our organization and send us a gift certificate via e-mail. We can use the gift certificate to purchase food, supplies, or toys for our adoptable animals at Petco. Thanks for your help!

If you find a dog or cat you'd like to adopt, you can fill out an online dog application or an online cat application. Before any of our dogs go out, they are spayed or neutered. We do not adopt on a first come-first serve basis. Sometimes we receive several applications for a particular animal. In those cases, we try our best to choose the best home for that animal and it does take time to go through the process. We reserve the right to deny any adoption at our discretion. We only take cash or check for the adoption fee.

Please plan to introduce your new addition to all members of your family (furry or otherwise) prior to adoption.

Our Adoptable Animals

Kennedy was found tied up behind Kennedy Ice Rink in Trenton. She's a sweet (approx. 2 yrs. old) girl who has a clean bill of health and has just been spayed. She's currently in a loving foster home and gets along well with other small dogs. She's shown a lot of interest in cats also. She likes to sit with you on the couch and share the bed at night. She would need a fenced yard, and can be a "runner" if unattended. Kennedy is housebroken and understands if you ask her to go "outside". She walks well on a leash and is not food aggressive in any way. She's a real sweetheart!                  Her adoption fee is $225. This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, and heartworm test (if of appropriate age). A completely fenced yard is required.

Yoshi is a  3 1/2 month old, male, Lab/Shepherd mix. He is a very active puppy. He is fostered in a home with other dogs, cats and children and does fine with all. Oliver is doing good on potty training.Yoshi absolutely LOVES playing in water. A completely fenced yard is required. All puppies are required to go through puppy training classes with their new family. His adoption fee is $225which includes his neuter, & age appropriate vaccines.

She came into rescue pregnant and gave birth at only 11 months old. She looks like a kitten herself! She is a sweet little darling and loves to play with all toys. She is a monkey likes to hang out on the top shelf of the closet. Silly cat. She loves attention, being held and belly rubs. She enjoys playing with other cats too. The adoption fee is $120. This includes spay, age appropriate vaccines and FeLV/FIV combo test. ALL CATS/KITTENS MUST BE KEPT AS INDOOR ONLY PETS.

Carrie gets along well with dogs her size or larger. but does NOT do well with smaller. She has a LOT of energy so she must have a fenced in back yard. Carrie would do well in a family that has time to walk her daily. We do not recommend small small children under 8 years because Carrie is so energetic and would knock a small child down. Carrie has not been trained any manners so a training class is a must. The adoption fee is $225. This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, and heartworm test (if of appropriate age). A completely fenced yard is required.

She loves to get her picture taken and will pose and is very photogenic. She does get along with other cats if introduced slowly, but it would not hurt her feelings if she was the only cat to get ALL of the attention. she is litter box trained and does use her scratching post. Hi my name is Dozer. I am an active 5 year old minpin looking for a family to spend the rest of my life with. My previous owner gave me up because she lost her job, home, unemployment and had to live with family members who said I could not stay . I was the only dog in my prior home and very spoiled. My foster Mom has alot of dogs and we all get along well except I would rather just have a human to play with. My biggest pet peev is sharing the food bowl with the other dogs, OMG that is so disgusting. I make it very clear that sharing my food bowl is not something I do willingly so my foster Mom has given me my very own bowl seperate from the other dogs in the house. I love to cuddle with my human, take long walks and go for car rides. I am completely potty trained and can do a few tricks for a yummy prize (peferably a chicken nugget). He is a very quick learner, and loves to cuddle. Chesney gets along very well with other dogs and kids. He has a lot of energy and spunk, but he knows when it's time to relax. Hondo is great with people and loves children. Hondo would do best in a home with children over the age of six because of his size and he is still a "puppy". Hondo likes to play outside but he is most happy when hes inside laying at your feet. Hondo is actually very submissive for a male dog. He is housebroken and loves to go for rides in the car. Livia is ok with other cats if properly introduced but we are not sure how she would be with dogs. Livia is pretty mellow and has a laid back personality. She does however love to play with her toys. Brownie is a just as sweet as her name! She is in a foster home with two other dogs and is great. She is crate trained and completely housebroken. Shes just over a year and a half old and is a medium size dog at 35 lbs. Brownie loves her toys and chews. Her foster mom and dad say shes a very special girl who would adjust into any home when given the love and attention she deserves! She would do best in a home without Cats. Her adoption fee is $225. This includes spay, age appropriate vaccines, and heartworm test. A completely fenced yard is required. Obedience Training Class is required.
